Club ship "AIDAvita" and "MS Norwegian Sun" with Küberit safety profiles

This proves that quality and competence in search of solutions with profiles open further markets beyond the fields of application of interior equipment and public areas; such as shipbuilding. With the luxury liners AIDA Vita and NORWEGIAN Sun two famous reference objects were provided with Küberit profiles.

In May 2006, the newly-designed cruise ship AIDA Vita with a length of 203 m started off for its maiden voyage from Hamburg to the Mediterranean Sea.

In order to assure the best possible security for 1,266 passengers on the stairs between all ship levels, more than 650 meters of Küberit stair nosings have been installed.

Out of the quality programme Küberit the ship reeder chose the security stair nosings for textile and elastic cover floorings made of high-polished aluminium. For reasons of precaution the concealed top profiles were provided with black slip-resistant PVC inserts which cover the fixing screws of the profiles and assure an optically perfect border.

The "MS Norwegian SUN" has been equipped with 1,800 running meters stair nosing profiles in aluminium polished.

On the club ship "AIDAvita" more than 650 meters Küberit saftey stair nosing profiles have been installed.
